The Hereafter is a federation of distinct communities on connected land. Each has its own ownership structure, size, and character.
How to join
For our core land communities — Phase 1, Estates, and the Village — joining is a conversation, not a checkout. These are significant ownership decisions and we approach them accordingly.
Fill out the join interest form on our website. Tell us which community appeals to you, a bit about yourself, and your timeline. No payment or commitment required.
Our admin team reviews your inquiry and reaches out directly. We'll answer your questions, share more about availability, and get to know each other. This is a relationship, not a transaction.
We'll invite you to visit the property in person. See the parcels, meet current members, explore the amenities, and get a real feel for the community before making any decision.
Once you decide to join, you'll read and accept the community covenant. This is the foundational agreement that governs how we all live together on the land.
Your member account is created and your parcel is assigned. You'll have full access to the member portal — documents, comms, committees, and more.
Ownership models & building freedom
The Hereafter is in an unincorporated county area with no local zoning laws. Exceptional freedom to build, farm, develop, and customize your property — far fewer restrictions than typical subdivisions or municipalities.
Different communities use different legal ownership structures. Understanding which model applies to your community is important.
You own your parcel outright under a warranty deed in your name. Applies to Phase 1 and Estates. The deed is recorded at the county level.
The community holds land as a single LLC. Members receive ownership certificates and hold a proportional interest. Applies to Village LLC and Micro Community.
Creekside Acres operates as a cooperative with internal subdivision. Members have assigned parcels and share governance of the collective land.
Governance & committees
The Hereafter is self-governed by its members. Phase 1, Village LLC, Estates, and Phase 2 members are eligible to participate in committees and community governance. Committees manage specific areas of community life and meet regularly.
Community dues
All eligible communities
Annual dues fund shared infrastructure, amenity maintenance, and community operations. This covers road maintenance, well and water systems, lake rehabilitation, shared amenities, and community governance.
